NPE, the plastics show, is an important event for PURE LOOP. The official opening of the member of EREMA Group and the launch of their unique ISEC repelletizing system took place at NPE 2015. At NPE 2024, PURE LOOP presents an ISEC evo 302 E at stand W4471 to prove its capabilities recycling different materials during live demonstrations.
Ansfelden, 7 May 2024 - "NPE is extremely important to us," says Manfred Dobersberger, Managing Director of PURE LOOP, at the opening of the largest plastics trade fair in the Americas. "Nine years ago, we presented our company and the integrated ISEC shredder-extruder combination to the plastics world." Since then, the technology that is used to repelletize production waste consisting of various polymers in the form of films, fibers, textiles, pipes, injection-molded parts and many more, has proven itself worldwide. "Our ISEC system is a material all-rounder," emphasizes Dobersberger. Even the most demanding applications, such as soft and hard PVC or glass-fiber reinforced plastics, are carefully prepared and processed into high-quality recycled pellets. "We can handle these complex requirements because, in recent years, our team has gained the necessary experience while dealing with a wide variety of niches and special applications. It is this knowledge and expertise that has gone into the design of this unique machine," adds Dobersberger.
The key to the technology lies in the gentle treatment of the material and eliminating the possibility of contamination. The shredder and extruder are powered by one drive shaft on the ISEC evo. The patented double feed ram system ensures that the extruder is fed continuously. Thanks to the conical transition, the material is compacted and oxygen is reduced.
The USA is the most important market for PURE LOOP, beside Europe. The focus is on film, fiber and hard plastic applications. Since the opening of the company, a quarter of all systems have been sold in North America. Order intake has risen continuously in recent years, with the largest increase recorded in 2023. "During the last financial year, half of our revenue was generated in the USA. The number of machines sold has doubled compared to the previous year," says Dobersberger. The sale of an ISEC evo 702 is a particular highlight. This is the largest machine built by PURE LOOP with throughput capacities of up to 3,300 pound per hour.
The company attributes its great success in North America to its excellent working relationship with local sales partners. As Dobersberger explains, "In North America, we have a reliable sales partner network, which we are continuing to expand. We also have very close ties to our sister company EREMA North America, who have a technical center with an ISEC evo 302 in operation that is available for customer trials." There is also a service hub for PURE LOOP customers at the site in Ipswich, near Boston.
One business area that PURE LOOP is currently involved in is textile recycling. "We estimate that around 40 million tons of production waste are generated worldwide every year during the production process," says Dobersberger, highlighting the huge potential of this area. A large proportion of the waste material consists of PET, which is why the recycling specialist has developed its FibrePro:IV technology to focus on PET fiber-to-fiber recycling.
PURE LOOP presents an ISEC evo 302 E at NPE that recycles LDPE blown film, start-up lumps and HDPE pipes during live demonstrations at the show. Visitors can witness the machine's performance and see how easy it is to use for themselves; they are even allowed to start it up. "For us, NPE is an important platform for demonstrating our solutions for efficient recycling. We are delighted to be at the show with the sales and technology team from Austria and our US sales partners to demonstrate to visitors our technology’s wide range of applications," says Dobersberger.
